The National Scientific Conference on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Polish Mycological Society was held on September 24-28, 2022 at the Faculty of Biology of the Adam Mickiewicz University Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań. It was the third scientific conference organized by the Polish Mycological Society.
The conference was devoted to issues related to: taxonomy and taxonomy of fungi, the importance and use of fungi in biotechnology, interactions of fungi, medical mycology, diversity and protection of fungi, fungal phytopathogens, as well as genetics and functions of fungi in the environment. The conference was a place to exchange experiences, establish contacts for the implementation of joint research projects and a scientific event in the field of comprehensive recognition of fungal biodiversity in various environments and the latest research methods used in mycology. download pdf (Polish)
Rhizosphere: Organism
Scientific research on the extensive networks of interactions taking place in the root sphere between plants, fungi and microorganisms inspires not only scientists. They provoke reflection and questions that go far beyond the areas of natural sciences, changing our perception of the relationship between the individual and the environment, between man and his natural, social and cultural habitat. The conference was accompanied by the multimedia art exhibition: Rhizosphere: Organism organized by the Club for Science & Art in the frame of the interdisciplinary project “Rhizosphere: The Big Network of Small Worlds”. The exhibition included works carried out in various media: from drawing and photomontage to microphotography, interactive installations and VR environment.
